CONCEPT - The concept of a magic mirror goes as far back as the arrival of human consciousness on this planet.  Think of the mirror itself as nothing more than a tool that can aid in the concentration of energy in a specific spot.  In the case of this specific design this affect is achieved by the detailed features of the mirror itself. 

Before using your mirror I would suggest a good cleansing.  The easiest way to do this is to put the mirror in the freezer for a day and then leave it in sunlight for a day.  This change of polarity in combination with the exposure the sun's radiation swill disperse any foreign traces of energy that may have been picked up by being in the store or being handled by other people.  If your stone is water based, like moonstone, you would probably not want to use the freezer method.  Instead you can pack off the mirror in salt and then place it in sunlight.  Any tarnish can be taken off with a jewelry polishing cloth.

Overview of the mirror and symbolism

First - The stone:  Each different stone has its own vibration qualities.  This means that each different type of stone will react to the vibrational state of energy that it is most suited to.  In turn this also means that each person will be able to work with a stone or type of stone that is most responsive to their own personal energy.  Keep this in mind when you are picking out your mirror.  You may want to use a pendulum or some other dowsing device to help find one that is best suited for you at this time.  If you are an experienced user and you are working for a specific outcome within a project you may want to take into consideration the relationship between the stone properties and the overall goal you are trying to achieve.

The mirror -  You will notice that the mirror itself is a solid piece of highly polished silver. Silver was chosen as a functional metal that will do an adequate job for gathering and holding energy as well as maintaining a reasonable price.

Third - Universal condenser: Even though this is not a visible feature of this mirror's design it is an important aspect of how the mirror will perform.  This liquid condenser is applied to each piece that is made.  It contains traces of the correct herbs and planetary metals that enhance the ability of this mirror to collect and hold all types of energy.  Each stone and the metal bases are treated with this type of condenser.

Fourth - Front symbols - The raised symbols on the face of the mirror are known as tattwa symbols.  There is one symbol for each elemental force.  The square, known as "Prithiva" is the symbol for the element of earth.   The crescent is the symbol for the element of water.  Its name is Apas.  A circle represents the symbol for the element of air.  Its name is Vayu.   A triangle represents the elemental quality of fire.  Its name is Tejas.  On the reverse side of the mirror you will find the Sanskrit names of each element engraved into the metal.  The names correspond with the proper symbol that is on the face of the mirror.

Fifth - Back of  the mirror: The back of the mirror was designed so that the stone is accessible.   This will allow either side of the piece to be used for gazing.  Black onyx stones can be order with a concave side on the back of the mirror.  This bowl shape does add a bit to the cost but is a nice feature if you are using a liquid or a powder to intensify your project.

Sixth - Symbolism on Back: The 20 point square has a profound stimulating effect upon the third eye center.  Meditating on this symbol alone can yield some interesting insights and experiences. The calming influence from this symbol allows the user to concentrate more effectively.  In turn this deepens your meditative state and helps produce a more intense scrying experience.

Seventh - Multiple bails - Notice that the mirror has four points to attach your chain to if you are opting to wear the piece.   This option permits you to decide which elemental symbol you want in the top position.  This may come into play when you are working with elemental forces and you want to accentuate the influence of the symbol by having it in the up position. For example, if you were working on a project of healing a chakra, or improving your physical sight or even your astral sight.  You might decide to charge your mirror with fire energy and have it feed into the appropriate area.  Then you decide that in order to maximize the operation, both on an energetic level and psychological level, you decide to hang the mirror on your neck with the fire symbol in the top position.  This would re-enforce the magical intention with a physical action and connection.  This in turn would be creating a bridge by which you would be, on some level, joining the worlds together.
